December was very busy with work again this year. I was late getting the tree up and only got about 1/3 of the ornaments put on it.
We went to Springfield again this year. We decided to drive, and rented a KIA for the drive up. Last year, we drove up in the U-Haul taking
stuff for Andy's new apartment. It rained all the way. However, this year, the weather was beautiful. We drove up on December 23.
In Springfield, we stayed in the Residence Inn this year - a two-bedroom suite so Jana and John joined us there for the two nights they were in Springfield. On Christmas Eve,
we played a rousing game of Charades. Daddy's acting of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" and "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" will not be forgotten. But the winner of the
night had to be Scott's portrayal of Yukon Cornelius.
We drove home on Wednesday, December 27. On the way, we saw the most beautiful sunset that lasted for miles around Eufaula.
